Kathleen (Kathi) Baker has worked in the field of student housing for 25 years. She has held positions with a variety of responsibilities, with eight years of experience at the Director or General Manager level. She currently works as Director of Housing & Residence Life for Seattle University. She has also worked for Washington State University, Smith College, San Diego State University, Occidental College, Campus Living Villages, and Campus Advantage. Her background in both privatized and university-owned housing operations gives her a unique perspective.
Kathi has been an active member of the Association of College & University Housing Officers-International (ACUHO-I) and served on the Executive Committee of the Western Association of College & University Housing Officers (WACUHO) for two years. She is an experienced presenter for local, regional and national meetings for ACUHO-I, WACUHO, Society for College & University Planning (SCUP), and the ACPA/NASPA joint convention.
Kathi holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Humboldt State University, a Masters of Education in Student Affairs from Washington State University, and is currently a student in the Doctor of Education program in Educational Leadership at Seattle University. She resides in Seattle, WA with her husband and three children.
