Pam Boersig brings over thirty years of student affairs work including seven years as the Dean of Student Affairs at the Art Institutes International Minnesota, a private for profit creative arts college and eight years as the Vice-President and Dean for Student Affairs at Adrian College, a private, religiously affiliated residential liberal arts college. Other work experience includes ten years at the University of Iowa as the Associate Director of Residence Services serving over 6500 students on campus. She also worked at Bowling Green State University (Ohio), University of Alaska-Fairbanks, Missouri Valley College and Truman State University (Missouri). Pam brings over thirty years of higher education experience in student involvement, residence life, health & counseling services, student retention, new student orientation and first year experience programs, disability services, student conduct and assessment. She understands the importance of collaboration and has experience working successfully with faculty, staff and students in the academic and co-curricular arena. Additionally, Boersig currently serves as a graduate faculty member at the University of St. Thomas (Minnesota) and teaches the legal and policy issues in higher education course and coordinates and facilitates the first year experience college success program at Ai Minnesota.
Ms. Boersigis involved with several higher education professional organizations including NASPA (National Association of Student Personnel Administrators) and MCPA (Minnesota College Personnel Association, a state division of ACPA) where she serves as the Senior Advisor on the Executive Board and coordinates the Careers in Student Affairs events for graduates/new professionals and undergraduate students.
Pam Boersig completed her Higher Education doctoral coursework from Bowling Green State University in Ohio and has a Master of Education in Counseling and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
